DAY1
Day 1 · Fes · Ifrane · Azrou · Midelt · Ziz Valley · Merzouga
We leave Fes in the morning toward the Middle Atlas. First stop in Ifrane, "Little Switzerland of Morocco," with Alpine architecture and clean streets. A walk in the Azrou Cedar Forest among tall cedars and Barbary apes, and lunch in Midelt, between two Atlas ranges. Through the Ziz Valley via Erfoud (fossils) and Rissani (a market town) we reach Merzouga in the late afternoon, riding camels across the Erg Chebbi dunes at sunset. Dinner and overnight at the desert camp.

DAY2
Day 2 · Merzouga (4x4 desert excursion)
Sunrise over the dunes and, after breakfast, a camel (or 4×4) ride back to Merzouga. We visit Khamlia village and its Gnawa music, combining African, Arab and Berber influences. We see Lake Sirji (seasonal, with flamingos) and the historic Mifis mines, and meet local nomadic families to learn how they adapt to the desert. Back to Merzouga and overnight at a hotel or riad.

After sunrise and breakfast, we leave Merzouga through the Ziz Valley, lined with palm groves, small villages and ancient kasbahs. Lunch in Midelt or Zaida with mountain views. The route passes again through the Azrou cedar forests (with their apes) and Ifrane before reaching Fes in the late afternoon.
