DAY1
Day 1 · Marrakech · Tizi n'Tichka · Ait Ben Haddou · Ouarzazate · Dades
Pick-up at your accommodation in Marrakech around 8:00 and over the High Atlas via the Tizi n'Tichka pass, among Berber villages. Visit Ait Ben Haddou (UNESCO), a famous film location, and on through Ouarzazate and the Skoura oasis. Along the 'road of a thousand kasbahs' to the Valley of Roses (Kalaat M'Gouna) and the Dades valley, where we have dinner and spend the night.

DAY2
Day 2 · Dades · Todra Gorges · Erfoud · Merzouga
After breakfast, drive through the Dades canyon and Berber villages to the Todra Gorges, with rock walls up to 300 m high. On through Erfoud to Merzouga and the great Erg Chebbi dunes. Sunset camel ride to camp: mint tea, Berber music, dinner and a night in a tent under the stars.

DAY3
Day 3 · Merzouga · Erg Chebbi · Nomads · Khamlia · Rissani
A full day exploring Erg Chebbi by 4WD: visit nomad families, the village of Khamlia and its Gnawa music, and the desert surroundings. In the afternoon, the Rissani souk, the largest in the area. Back to Merzouga for another sunset over the dunes; dinner and night in a riad facing the desert.

DAY4
Day 4 · Merzouga · Ziz Valley · Azrou · Ifrane · Fez
Optional sunrise and breakfast. We leave the desert towards Fez via Errachidia and the Ziz valley viewpoint. On through Midelt, the Azrou cedar forest (with its monkeys) and Ifrane before reaching Fez, where the trip ends.
