The route

The grand journey through the north to the Erg Chebbi dunes. A 100% private tour that we travel at your own pace, with a local driver-guide and an air-conditioned vehicle. This is the base route — we adjust it to your dates, your budget and whatever you want to see.

DAY1

Day 1 · Tangier · Chefchaouen

Pick-up at Tangier port or airport and direct transfer to Chefchaouen. Free time to explore its charming medina, famous for houses painted in shades of blue. A stroll through the cobbled streets and Uta el-Hammam Square, the heart of the city, by the kasbah; the Great Mosque (exterior), the kasbah with its Andalusian garden and ethnographic museum, and the Spanish Mosque viewpoint for the sunset over the Rif. Overnight at a traditional riad in the medina.

DAY2

Day 2 · Chefchaouen · Volubilis · Fez

A morning walk through Chefchaouen's blue streets and, mid-morning, on to Fez with a stop at the Roman ruins of Volubilis (about 27 km away), with its mosaics, temples and arches. On to Fez, arriving at sunset. Overnight at a medina riad with a traditional dinner.

DAY3

Day 3 · Fez (guided city tour)

A full-day guided tour of Fes el-Bali (UNESCO), founded in the 9th century, with the world's oldest university and its Merinid peak in the 13th-14th centuries. We explore the medina: the Chouara tanneries, the madrasas, the artisan workshops and the souks, with panoramic views of the city.

Day 4 · Fez · Ifrane · Midelt · Merzouga

Across the Middle Atlas via Ifrane (the "Moroccan Switzerland") and the Azrou cedar forest with its monkeys. Lunch in Midelt and down through the Ziz Valley and Erfoud to Merzouga. A sunset camel ride across the Erg Chebbi dunes and a night at a desert camp.

DAY5

Day 5 · Erg Chebbi · Erfoud · Todra Gorges · Dades

Sunrise over the dunes and back to Merzouga. Through Erfoud and the Berber villages to the Todra Gorges, with walls up to 300 m. On to the Dades Valley, among kasbahs and rock formations. Dinner and overnight in the valley.

Day 6 · Dades Valley · Rose Valley · Ouarzazate · Ait Ben Haddou · Marrakech

Along the "road of a thousand kasbahs" and the Valley of Roses, the Skoura palm groves and Ouarzazate (film studios). A visit to Ait Ben Haddou (UNESCO) and over the High Atlas via Tizi n'Tichka to Marrakech. Overnight at a riad.

Day 7 · Marrakech (guided city tour)

A guided tour of Marrakech: the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, the Ben Youssef Medersa, the Majorelle Garden and Jemaa el-Fna square with its souks.

      Completely. This route is a starting point: we add or remove nights, cities and experiences depending on what you fancy. Tell us your idea on WhatsApp and we'll build it tailor-made for you.

      Is it a private tour?

      Yes. You travel just the two of you with your driver-guide and air-conditioned vehicle, at your own pace. We can adjust stops and timings however you like.

      What's the best time of year to travel?

      From March to May and from September to November the weather is ideal. In summer it's hot in the south, but the north stays pleasant.

      What languages does the guide speak?

      The driver-guide speaks Spanish and English. In the main cities we also work with official local guides.

      Do you cater for special diets?

      Of course. We offer vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. Let us know your needs when you book and we'll coordinate it with the accommodation.
